Beef

INGREDIENTS (4 PORTIONS)
- 600 g minced beef
- butter
- 3 onion, sliced
- 400 ml stock
- 1 tsp cornflour, stirred into 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsp dark soy sauce
- 4 slices bread for toasting
- 4 eggs
- butter for frying
- salt
- pepper
DANISH HAKKE BÖÖF WITH ONION SAUCE AND FRIED EGG ON MELBA TOAST

INSTRUCTIONS
- Shape the minced beef into four burgers and place on a plate ready for frying.
- Melt 1-2 tbsp butter in a pan and fry the onion over a medium heat until golden brown.
- Take out the onion and place it in a bowl, then add 1 tbsp butter and fry the burgers until cooked how you want them.
- In another pan, melt a large knob of butter and fry the slices of bread until golden brown on both sides, then place each one on a separate plate.
- Return the pan to the heat with a little more butter and fry the eggs “sunny side up”.
- Take the cooked burgers and place one on each slice of toast. Put the pan back on the heat and pour in the stock. Bring it to the boil, stir in the cornflour mixture and season with salt and pepper.
- Top the burgers with fried onions, gravy and finally an egg.
